ListZapper lets you locate and clear the Most Recently Used (MRU) lists on your system. Most Windows applications (and Windows itself) try to help us out by remembering information that we use frequently, such as the names of files most recently accessed, text strings we have searched for, and so on.
These MRU lists are handy, but there are times when we don't want this information to be maintained, such as when we've been working with sensitive files and don't want others to know what we were doing. MRU list information for programs that you rarely use just clutters the registry and thus slows your system. Some applications-for example, Microsoft Word-give you control over the lists they maintain, but most applications do not. ListZapper fills this gap.
